In just about one month – Thursday May 7th – we will be hosting our annual National Day of Prayer ecumenical service at 6PM. The theme for this year is Lord Hear Our Cry and the Scripture focus verse is 1 Kings 8:28 “Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day.”

I’d like to issue a call to prayer for the next month, praying for this nation and specifically for the service on May 7th. Pray that it may be a time of coming together for all God’s people to humble themselves, pray, seek the will of God, and turn from every sort of evilness. May all God’s people feel the urge to assail the very heights of heaven with prayers for healing for this nation confident that God will hear and answer. (See 2 Chronicles 7:14)
