The Black River United Methodist Church is committed to changing the world one person at a time by first serving the needs of people in our local community and by reaching out in mission to the rest of the world. We are a group of people committed to actively being doers rather than passive spectators.

To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by living the gospel of Jesus Christ and being God’s love to our neighbors in all places.

Our Pastor
OUR PASTOR: Bob McCarthy has been the pastor at Black River United Methodist Church since 2009. Bob is a retired Solder and currently works as a civilian for the Garrison Chaplains Office on Fort Drum. He received an Associate’s Degree from of Jefferson Community College NY, a Bachelor’s degree from Crown College MN and is currently completing work for his Masters of Divinity degree at United Theological Seminary in Dayton OH. Bob and his wife Nelda live in Evans Mills NY. They have two adult sons – Heath and Aaron, and three grandchildren – Bailey, Keaghan and Alanna.
